This visionary project, unveiled on June 3, 2025, is the result of a strategic collaboration between Nigeria’s Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy and the Gates Foundation. The AI Scaling Hub will accelerate the development and deployment of locally-driven, high-impact AI solutions that address critical national challenges in healthcare, agriculture, education, and beyond.

Speaking at the announcement, Dr. Bosun Tijani, Honourable Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, emphasized Nigeria’s readiness to drive the next frontier of technological advancement.
